A recent recording by Carl Malcom, co-produced by Hippy Boys & Upsetter organist Glen Adams. Born in St Elizabeth JA, in 1952, Carl started his musical career sharing vocals with Al Brown in the Volcanoes in 1965. At the beginning of the seventies he joined Big Relations, alongside Jo Jo Bennet and recorded his first tune with Coxsone Dodd at Studio One: Father Free Us. Next, with producer Rupie Edwards he recorded Make It When You Try. Between 1973 and 1975 he recorded several hit singles with Skin, Flesh & Bones for the Impact label, earning considerable succes in the UK: No Jestering was the first, followed by Miss Wire Waist and his biggest seller, Fattie Bum Bum (which reached No. 3 in UK hitparade).
